Voting Day

Hi guys, As you know that voting day is tommorow and it is going to be another public holiday. Well, I know that a lot of you will be happy that tommorow is a public holiday but some will thing that it is a wasted holiday espically when it falls on a Saturday and that there will be not holiday from going to school. Some of you might have seen posters, banners and advertisiment on the streets telling people to vote for their government and they will promise to do something good to the society. Some of you might also seen election rallies on the streets too telling them how good their government is and asking you to vote for them. However, even though we are not taking part in the voting, we should not igonore that public holiday and take it as a normal holiday. This is because voting is also to choose our own government and if a wrong government is chosen, Singapore will fall greatly. Hence, we must all be alert about news updates about the election even though you might be underaged to take part in it. If you are wondering why you cannot take part in election when you are aged below 21 years old. Well, the reasons could be that we are still young and unable to make such an important decisions. So, please also take a lookout for election days. You can learn how to vote for your government in advance before you reach the age of 21. Hence, when you are old enough to vote, as least you will know some things to do when you want to vote for your government.
